Sorry we have been so quiet of late. Absolutely loads has been happening and we are still trying to catch our breath...
Firstly, for those who visit us regularly you will have noticed our site has had a re-design again. It's all in the quest to keep everything up-to-date and as easy to navigate as possible. If you have any suggestions please feel free to contact us, your feedback is always welcome.
Secondly, we have added new stock to our shop. We now have a wide variety of eco-friendly gifts and toys as well as vegan soaps and shampoo bars, bath soaks, knitted toys, recycled cards and christmas wrap and much more... Everyday more and more stock is arriving so keep coming back to see all the new additions. One of our favourites is the funky chicken doorstops (£12).
And if that is not enough, Angelique is having the time of her life with the "bump" well on its way and due quiet soon too, and in between all the madness I am getting pretty excited about the new arrival too...
Our next outing will be at the London Vegan Farye in Kensington Town Hall on Sunday the 7th September, and for those of you who live near or in London, so we hope to see you there!!!
Lots of Love

BBQ Season!
Well, it seems the weather has finally held out long enough for the men to whip out their gear – BBQ gear that is! With all that testosterone flying about, its no wonder we ladies prefer the quiet sanctuary of the cool umbrella shade, sitting around the table just catching up and sipping on our long, cold drinks.
Now what would two veg*an girls possibly enjoy at a BBQ, I hear you ask. To that I would reply, the world is our oyster, or would that be our tofu…..?!

Where to start? Salad always goes down well and I do love my secret recipe potato salad made with egg free salad cream and onions with the addition of my ‘secret ingredient’ to finish it off. A well constructed green salad filled to the brim with loads of different flavours and textures like avocado, bean sprouts, olives and cherry tomatoes finished off with fresh crisp lettuce really tantalises our taste buds!
For those veg*an’s who like something a little more substantial, wrap a pierced potato smothered in olive oil & garlic cloves in foil and place it within the belly of the fire, thus producing a delicious tasty feast by the time all the BBQ-ing is done. In addition, I would suggest using the same method on a few portobello mushrooms smothered with vegetable spread, minced garlic and a sprinkling of herbs & spices for extra flavour. These of course can be slapped onto a bread roll for that ‘burger effect’ or eaten just like that, whichever way you prefer them!

Of course, nobody is stopping you from buying a few veggie burgers or sausages to place on the grill itself. However, with all those bits of meat flying about coupled with the high testosterone levels, who knows how veg*an your veggie bits will be by the end of it?!?!
Enjoy the rest of the BBQ season and bon appetite, whichever way you prefer to have it!
Veg*an – this could mean vegetarian or vegan.

New Designs...

So with the massive popularity of the treehugger design, which was printed on the silky soft and naturally sustainable bamboo tees, our minds were racing to add some new designs to the range.
With new black and white t-shirt colours now added, these new sample designs have incorporate some funky bright prints to brighten up the summer days.
Of courses we have come up with a number of new ideas, but we can't decide which ones we prefer!!! To help us choose we ask you to please vote for your favourite design/s on the panel on the right.
Keep sight of this blog, as we will announce the new designs going into print at the end of July and we will post a competition on our website to win one of these new tees. We will also make sure they are available to purchase in our shop from early August...

Strawberry Addict
So summer is finally here, Wimbledon has been and gone and Strawberry season is upon us... I am so very happy.
Why, because I love strawberries... Mmmmm. Thats not to say that I can't have them at other times of the year, its just that they are so expensive and not of the best quality, so instead I wait until the strawberry season draws round and I binge on them then. The best part about this is that my lovely other half doesn't much like them, which for a change leaves more for me!
So why would I decide to go on so much about strawberries?
Well for starters, I have recently purchased my own strawberry plants. Only two small ones, but all the same I can't wait until they eventually fruit. I have been putting in time and TLC with their little green leaves, trimming them and rewinding the runners round into more suitable positions on my window ledge, and then to my happiness last week they started to flower.
I know I am gushing like a broody mother hen, but I am so happ y. Its so fantastic that they have made it this far and not even died in the first week. I must point out t his is a massive achievement for me as I DON'T have a green bone in my body. The last plant I tried to grow died on me, which wouldn't be so bad accept it was a cactus and they are supose to be hardy! On top of that I even managed to kill off my hubbys herb garden while he was away on business for a week...
So to my delight, I woke up this morning and took to checking on my little plants to fine the small flower heads have now dried out and are turning into fruit. Oh joy, hopefully soon I can celebrate as my little green buds, will turn into sweet delicious red fruit... Mmmmm.
By the way, all this talk of strawberries has given me an idea for a new 'limited edition' design for the little ones. Its called Strawberry Addict. I will post it for sale in our shop tonight. I hope you like it!

· Gender: Female
· Astrological Sign: Sagittarius
· Favourite Colour: Red
· Favourite Food: Anything Vegan!
· Location: South East London
I am a Sales & Marketing Assistant, having worked in administration my entire career. Three years ago I made the life-changing decision to become vegan and haven’t looked back since. I feel healthier and look great – so my family & friends say anyway!
Since finding out I am expecting my baby boy – AKA bump, scrote, little pink foot – I’ve started thinking more about getting involved with a venture which I would enjoy while also benefiting the planet and encourage others to follow a more environmentally conscious lifestyle. Jody came up with LoveCow and approach me about joining her venture – all of this before I had even told anybody that I was expecting, so it came as if sent! We have only just started out but I have already learnt so much and am looking forward to all the challenges as well as the satisfaction which comes from working with people who share my common interests and beliefs.

I am a graphic designer, a vegetarian and a wife to my loving husband Shaun. Having worked as a graphic designer for almost 10 years in the printing industry, I see everyday the impact that advertising and media has on our environment. From the endless supply of brochures, business stationary and other sales items that are discarded by the consumer everyday to the impact of commercial printing with the harmful chemicals in the inks and the manufacturing of 'cheap' garments in third world countries, I knew something just had to be done.
LoveCow seemed like the most logical solution. I wanted to focus on small production runs of environmentally produced clothing. All the items are 100% organic and sweat-shop free. On top of this I have used only water based inks which are free from harmful chemicals and I have ensured that the garments are hand-printed. I have kept the packaging minimal, and when I do have to package an item, I have made sure that only recycled materials are used.
Having grown up on a farm, I understand the important role that the environment plays in our life. It is the centre of all that we are, and by preserving this we are paving the path for future generations to come.

Bristol Vegan Farye - Our Very First Stall
Being our very first attempt at having a stall was both tiring but even more rewarding, and we couldn’t have chosen a friendlier and more helpful bunch of people than our fellow stallholders at the Bristol Vegan Fayre to guide and support us! Not only did we learn a lot from this experience but we also met many interesting people in the process.
We were busy until early Saturday morning preparing like crazy and up again at what felt like the crack of dawn for the long drive to Bristol from London. Luckily Jody was driving so I was able to catch a few much needed winks in the car, not that it made that much of a difference it has to be said!
On arrival at our stall we had a bit of a reshuffle of the tables with our fellow stallholders but finally settled in and got our stall up and ready, clothing rails and all! Unfortunately we only had space for one chair which was put to very good use, especially by me and especially on that long first day.
Our first lesson – arrive on the Friday night, set up most of your stall at a leisurely pace and then retire to your chosen accommodation to enjoy a lovely quiet evening in. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast on Saturday morning, get to your stall in enough time to add the finishing touches, sit back and wait patiently for everyone to arrive. After a few hours the first sale was made which was encouraging and even though the fayre was pretty busy we were only able to sell a few items on the first day. Of course I must also mention that we had a sale whilst packing up, proving that when people want quality items they will come and get it, even after a long hard day of shopping at the fayre! On the up side, we had a lot of interest and positive feedback on our products, evidence that we were doing something right after all.
We were so glad to see the back of that first day and hurried to The Base, a vegetarian and vegan friendly bed and breakfast where we spent our first night. After a good night’s rest and a very delicious breakfast, it was straight back to the fayre for another exciting day at our stall. While setting up on the Sunday we were offered very good advice on the layout of our stall by the lovely lady at The Heavenly Cake Company table. Their cakes were indeed very heavenly and my bump was lucky enough to be given a free slice of cake for his efforts. Fortunate me, I mean bump ;0)
Our second lesson – make use of all the table space you possibly can when displaying t-shirts and clothing items. Also, make use of the space behind you by having a wire rack on which t-shirts can be hung and displayed in full view of passers by. The stall had busy periods throughout the day with a few interesting people stopping by for chats as well as those wanting more information on our items and the possibility of having bespoke designs made. However, we had to keep telling passers by that all our clothing items are ethically sourced and organic, since in our exhausted state on Friday evening we overlooked this important bit of information. DOH!
Our third lesson – make sure that the most important information appears on your stand first and this information needs to be prominent and eye-catching. Item prices need only be
displayed on items. Strangely, the second day flew by and thanks to having had a good rest the night before I felt we were more relaxed too.We had the opportunity of taking turns to have a bit of pampering at the Healing Area where Jody enjoyed a much needed shoulder massage, my bump & I enjoyed a session of spiritual healing, all at half price for stall holders so many thanks to those individuals for their generosity. And on the subject of generosity, I also have to say a big thank you to Karen at the Lush stand who offered to give me a bump massage using one of their massage bars. I was a bit apprehensive at first but in no time was pretty relaxed when I realised she was a pro.
Last but not at all least, Veggie Vision also generously handed out goodie bags to stall holders for all our hard work – aren’t they fabulous?!? All this generosity and goodwill from fellow stallholders as well as the friendly nature of everyone enjoying the fayre really made our long hours at the stall very worthwhile.
Will we be doing this again anytime soon? You better believe it!
